ABOUT the KEY PARTNERS in CORNERSTONE

DIVISION OF MENTAL HEALTH (DMH)

This state agency within the Department of Human Services, is responsible for the general oversight of all aspects of Cornerstone. William Bane, MSW is the Principal Investigator and Project of the grant. DMH is also responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of all Evaluation activities of Cornerstone. This includes the required components of the national evaluation as well as local evaluation efforts. DMH also contracts with the University of Denver to provide the local data analysis. Nancy Johnson Nagel, Ph.D. is the Director of the Cornerstone Evaluation. The phone number for DMH is 303.866.7400.

FEDERATION OF FAMILIES FOR CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALTH
COLORADO CHAPTER

This Colorado Federation is a chapter of a national advocacy organization for families whose youth have mental health issues. The Colorado Federation provides training and technical assistance to the three Cornerstone Family Organizations in Clear Creek/Gilpin, Denver, and Jefferson Counties. CORNERSTONE FAMILY ORGANIZATIONS

There are three Cornerstone Family Organizations that provide family advocacy and support for youth and families served through Cornerstone in Clear Creek, Denver, Jefferson and Gilpin Counties. These family organizations hire the family advocates who work with service coordinators as a team to help youth and families through the wraparound process. The family organizations also conduct individual and systems advocacy; develop local family and youth support groups; recruit and train family and youth members for the Local Governance Structures in each community; and work with the evaluation team on the Cornerstone Evaluation. CORNERSTONE SERVICE COORDINATION AGENCIES


There are three Cornerstone Service Coordination Agencies who hire the service coordinators who work as a team with the family advocates. Jefferson Center for Mental Health is the service coordination agency in Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties, and one of the service coordination agencies in Jefferson County. Jeffco Public Schools is the other service coordination agency in Jefferson County. The Mental Health Center of Denver is the service coordination agency in Denver.
